Mark Macleod, a seasoned financial advisor and Certified Public Accountant, has dedicated nearly four decades to guiding clients towards their financial aspirations. Serving as the President of RM Financial Services, LLC, Mark embodies expertise, integrity, and a unique blend of practicality, honesty, and humor in his approach to financial planning.
As an independent Registered Representative, Mark provides access to a comprehensive suite of financial products and tools, ensuring clients receive objective advice free from the influence of proprietary or promoted products. His unwavering commitment to fiduciary duty underscores every recommendation he makes, placing the interests of his clients above all else.
Mark's journey in finance began with a solid foundation in accounting, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Maine. He honed his skills as a Certified Public Accountant with two of the most distinguished Portland accounting firms, before shifting in 1998 to the realm of financial advising. In 1998, Mark embarked on a new chapter by joining Edward D. Jones & Co. as a Registered Representative, where he further honed his expertise in financial planning and investment management.
In 2006, driven by a vision to provide truly independent and client-centric financial guidance, free from the one-size-fits-all approaches of the big financial advising firms, Mark co-founded RM Financial Services, LLC, with his long-time business partner Aaron Rugh.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mark's vibrant personality shines through everything he does. Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, he navigates even the most complex financial discussions with levity and ease. Yet, when it comes to delivering tough truths, Mark does not hesitate to provide honest and straightforward advice, earning the trust and respect of his clients and colleagues.
An avid golfer, Mark finds solace and joy on the greens, while also sharing a passion for sports and travel. While he will never forget (or let anyone else forget) his Maine roots as a "mill town" kid, Mark now divides his time between Delray Beach, Florida, and Falmouth, Maine.
Family holds a central place in Mark's life. When not working, Mark cherishes moments spent with his wife, Daniella, traveling across the country to visit their children and grandchildren.
